Would you buy one?

First ride report I've seen for a Vulcan 2000:

2004 Harleys are selling for $18500 to $20000 around here.
I have already seen ads for the 2004 2000 Vulcan for $12500.

I would...then I'd clean up the heavy fenders...do something about disguising the headlight or swappin' it...more dragbar-ish handlebars...dump the floorboards...if I wasn't broke-ass broke....I love my Kawasakis....been bleeding green since my Z1-B days eons ago....ok, my KLX400SR is a Zuk', but its still green

...ok...I change my mind after reading all the specs....I'd not change a thing...I'd be a geek and order up more of the factory options...the more I look, the more I like...power corrupts....absolute power corrupts absolutey....

I'm thinking a set of drag bars, where you're practically laying on the tank, do something about the headlight. Get rid of the floorboards. And buy some leather chaps.

That thing is unique to the cruiser world that's for sure. Plus I'll bet there will be a ton of after market perf parts in the future, I once rented a Honda 1800 and I must say I had to drop it off early as I was tired of riding something so lacking in fun and attitude etc. That Kaw 2000 actuallly 2053 cc beast will be probably as fun as the new 10R. Oh well I'll need to get more room in the garage I think!!

The headlight would probably look OK if all of it, except the rim, was painted body color. There's nothing wrong with the shape -- it's just bizarre to have that much chrome, and to see chrome in that shape. IMO.

I rode a Vulcan 1600 for a couple of days last summer with the factory hard bags and it was a great bike. Yes, I would buy one, along with 5 or 6 others... where is that lottery ticket!

I'd like it with the hard bags on it. Kaw reps had no idea if hard bags were going to be available.

Real glad to see most of you guys think the 2000 is cool.I didn't want to admit that we had decided to race it instead of the 10 next year for our street et bike.I also asked about some Nomad style hard bags and was told i'd have to settle for soft bags.

You better! Since Muzzy has already done a supercharger for the Mean Streak, would be interesting to see what they have planned for the 2000. And please make sure and post pics if you put a pair of drag handlebars on it!
