First Test on Dyno with NOS a Failure /s

I just got home about Midnight. I am seriously learning. First, I now know that even a quick solder will ruine a Micro Switch. So #1 I had to bypass that. Then the fuel line was kinked to the fuel pump and fixed that. Then the pump pressure never read right. Finally figured that the way I have the line hooked up to the NOS Fogger as opposed to the N.E. Fogger is causing back pressure in the fuel line. I know what to do to fix all of this, but not fun! The temps recorded on the EGT were very high on Gasoline about 1,300 degrees. Usually in the low to mid 11's and sometimes low 1,200 degrees on Spray.

I tested 3 bottles. The Learner Bottle (Co2 converted) made 201 & 202 HP. The N.E. and NOS Bottles made about 224.9 & 224.8 HP using track conditions Cold Bottles and outside air temp of 65 to 70 degrees. The NOS Pressures were in the low to mid 700 pounds. Making a few button adjustments I was able to get the A/F from high 11's to mid 12's during the spray period. The straight pipe. pump gas and no spray I was able to get 180.1 and 180.2 HP. Remember with Sunoco race fuel I got 3 more HP with the Hindle Muffler!

Now about 5 to 6 hours more work and I will be ready to go late Thrusday Night and still pack up for Friday! If I had more time to work this out and change back to the NE Foggers, I could have safely jetted to 240 to 250 HP. SO Hopefully 225 HP and 125 torque will get me to 200. If not, then I will add a little more fuel and go a small step in NOS Jet and get another 10 to 15 HP. I have the rest of the winter to fix all of the things I need to for next year. Nothing comes easy!

Does anyone realize that an Old Man only a few years from Retirement "Permanently" cannot seem to "Grow-UP"?? I am doing this and sometimes I cannot believe I am this serious "STILL" about anything! Your Body and mind can leave you, but Passion is still in your control!

Thats the plan HDL I was 40 when I ran Daytona 200 in 1983 and 1984, now 20 years later, who would have thought it!! Not me!

DP!! the deal with me riding is, I have never had much fun while actually riding the bikes I make! It is after the ride and taking time to think over the ride and everything that just happened, (and the danger has past) THEN I enjoy the ride

AT least this time I am leaving the house to go there and Lord willing, I will get there and just maybe see some "REAL" Speed!

I do have one thing to worry about! Randall is coming Sunday to ride my bike! He is 6'2" and less than 160 lbs. I just told him that if he runs faster, not to turn in his slip! (he can, but there will be a price to pay )

If 200 MPH was a piece of cake, everybody would be doing it! The reward goes to those that earn it. Good Luck Vincent, hang in there, and keep us psoted. Us old farts are depending on you to keep us in the game.
