ECTA this weekend Who's going? I'm gonna be there to watch and support Vincent and the others. I'll bring the video camera and the helmet cam to setup on their bikes if so desired. I'm just gonna throw the scooter and the back of the truck and head down to hang out - no bike this time both are in pieces waiting on parts :-/
Prediction #1- Vincent will run 203mph using nitrous.
Prediction #2- Wayne Pollack will break 245 mph on Yancy's Bud-Busa
Prediction #3- Capt Larrys will regret offering anything "all you can eat" to me and beer may be consumed in extraordinary amounts :-)

Vincent will be at champion tomorrow evening, I just finished the 5 hours of work for today. Depending on what happens on the dyno will make it betwee 5 to 6 hours of work Thursday evening and Off Friday and hope to leave by 2 PM
BTW, thanks for the confidence I will be happy at 200.001 average. I also Appreciate you even looking my direction with a nod or two let alone anything else. Hopefully some of Capt Larry's for you will be on me!
I cannot wait to see what Randall runs on Sunday after he makes his license passes Sort of a poor man's Yancy. 6'2" and 155 pounds on a Poor Man's Yancy Bike (mine) I hope he makes 190 on gasoline and maybe 200 on NOS! That will be interesting for me to watch! Beddy Byes for me right now! ____________

We've had Tim's 1361 over at our place getting it ready to head out Friday but may we not make the trip.
On Monday evening a good friend of ours and a salesman at Alcoa Good Times (where Zack works) was a passenger in a small plane that crashed, it was his 35th birthday.
Mark suffered massive injuries and testing on Tuesday morning showed zero brain activity so his wife and family removed him from life support.
We don't know yet what is to follow as far as services go, it's been a rough couple of days for sure.
He was a great guy with a zest for life, an accomplished pilot and motorcyclist that leaves behind a wife, 5 year old daughter and 7 year old son with a host of sad friends.

Dan, step past it! There is a reason I say this. One bad thing about "Living to an ripe old age" is you get to see "All" of your friends die!
In the last 2 weeks, My best friend Iva who had survived cancer and 16 weeks of treatment had a heart attack and died. 2 of my frineds one mother died and the other father died at the age of 55!! another firend his mom (A real friend of mine) had 2 strokes but is OK. The lady who I feel is my Mon, her son in in Johns Hopkins with a part mechanical heart and may die anyday now.
I finally realized that these type of things could really get to you, so I have chnaged my attitude to If they die, there problems are over and those of us that pray always say, Lord save me. SO when the time is "Best" Only for them, the Lord takes them Not easy on us, but best for them and that is what counts. Looking at it that way, I have been able to cope a lot better. Hope this helps you Dr. Dan!
Bergie, A lot better and I have put serious effort into this and know that does not guarantee success, but how ever it goes, I will not be stopping until I reach over 210 MPH!

Damn.... Sorry to hear about this Dan. I'm pretty sure I've met Mark at the dealership a couple times. Such a tragedy,...my heart goes out to his family and friends.
Hang in there Dan.

Thanks guys for the thoughts and prayers, his family is needing them right now for sure.
There will not be a traditional receiving of friends and since he is being cremated there is going to be a burial on Saturday.
Mark was the guy who set up our first meeting with Chip Ellis which got Chad's foot in the door with Kawasaki and dragracing. He made all the races he could and always followed our Maxton events. We all believe that he would want us to move forward as Vincent said so we've decided to head out tomorrow for Maxton.
See you guys there.

EBD,
Thanks for the note, I'll keep ya in mind. I hate to hear the same thing happened to your Mom. Only thing that helps is Mark loved to fly as much as riding. It was a beautiful, clear day and he left this earth enjoying himself, so in my eyes it's not as tragic, even though he's gone and left behind small children and a wife.
YCIS,
He never made it to Maxton. The pit bike Lucky was using at our last Maxton race was Mark's, they were friends too as we all are.
I'm sure all the regular Deal Gapper's like Rick knew him, he was always keeping tabs on the events and rides.
He worked almost all the Kawasaki demo rides through out the country and loved visiting with people.
Godspeed Mark, you will be and already are missed.

Dan, your last statement is a Bummer! He never made it to Maxton! That is the worst part of what you have said! He was really a person just like yourself! Will help anyone that is helping themselves! (That is you Dan!)
