I believe if it's your sandbox, you have the right to make the rules. Those who don't abide by some kind of decency when called on it and/or who cross a vague line drawn in that sandbox, should go play somewhere else.
But there are some pretty vague lines. Is there a particular example of how much disrespect is too much and/or gone too far in jest?

I'd only add that I've seen some pretty knarly stuff signed and it appears to be "tolerated"? Maybe the limit has just gone too far over the edge?

I think moderators should read PMs and edit all posts to reflect their viewpoint.... oh wait... there already a board that does that....lol.

WTF??? I've been monitoring the situation over there and all I can say is "DAMN, get a friggin' life already"!!!!! That shit has been reduced to the likes of a bunch of 2nd graders fighting over the last red crayon er somethin'.  I know what happened with Z & BB, but I'm still a little in the dark about the "Secret Forum". But I know what Z & BB's plan was. I don't think it was a very good move on their part, but I marvel at the magnitude (according to the diehards there) of the situation. Am I wrong for not being WAY upset by all of this??? After all, I along with several others here, have been a member there for years. What's your honest take Steve.?

I could agree with that, but with the signature, but it becomes a moot point when the site administrators are change other peoples signatures to suit THEIR desires.......whats good for the goose type of thing ya know.....and personally I dont care....its all in good fun.....I dish it, so I can take it.....and if you cant take it or are going to get your feelings hurt, then dont get involved with the shit talking.....JMO......for what its worth.....

not that u asked for it ninjaman, but i'll give u my take on it: there's nothing new at LAB. i'v been hangin out there since about may of 2000, and far as i can see little if anything has changed. there was constant BS, threats, and talk of banning goin on since i got there, which was quite close to the beginning best as i can tell. and the "it's gone downhill" threads have been comnipresent for a couple years by now. nothing's changed. it's as crazy a place now as it was in early 2000, and that's just the way most like it

prolly so....but the signature line wasnt in place until after comments were made......and was then changed byt the site admin, to bust on me...which is all good, it was all in fun.....but lets not get carried away with all of this, it was after all in good fun, or atleast started that way.....

My theory
I look at this site and other big bore bike sites as adult sites. If someone steps on something soft and it sticks to the bottom of your shoe and it stinks. You might have deserved it. If your in a yard full of big dawgs watch where ya step.
It takes two to tangle. Its just a shame someone always runs home to tell mommy/admin/moderator. We're all big boys here who should be able to handle a little name calling/ stick/rock throwing.
It does make me laugh when I hear of a grown man running to admin, lol
