I have to conceed....I rode the ZX6RR out for track day yesterday, I left the OEM issue Bt 012's on it....they handled very well. They gave me some great feed back. I didnt get as much traction out of them as I would have liked, but they were predictable when they would spin up. I believe that off the rack BT 012's would prolly offer better traction yet. I just bought a set of Pirelli Supercorsa qualifying tires to put on it off of ebay...but I will run the 012's until they are toast...which at this rate is going to be a few more track days....I got one day out of the H2's on the other 600. Looks like I should get 1 or 2 more days out of the 012's. BUT, they arent on the 12...I dont think that they would give good enough traction for that.....JMO.......lol

Very cool. I honestly don't know if the OEM BT012's are the same as the aftermarket BT012SS. Doubtful, but I'm not sure. Your findings are basically correct. From a traction standpoint, you have to compromise. You can lower it, to 28-29lbs on a ZX6RR and get better traction and feel. Or you can run it in the 30-32 lbs area and get more control from being able to spin them consistently. Just depends what style your more comfortable with, what lines you take, how the suspension is set up, etc... Those pressures are rear. I normally run 1-2 more lbs in the front.

On the street, they'll last. I've got 1 track day and 2000 street miles on a set and they still feel good on my 12. Enjoy.

I run my tires a little harder..I am running 33 in the front and 32 in the rear...they were very consistent, and tha tis important to me....I am not one to back it in....I would rather keep the tires on the ground doing what they are suppose to do, providing traction.......I hve to say though it was fun to go around a GSXR 750, on that little 600 spinning the back tire up...the guys said it freaked him out...I wasnt about to tell him that it freaked me out too...lmfao.....
