Yes, you are nutz. It's a lazy ride, twins. Don't have that neck wringin' manic I-4 scream.
I test rode a Mille R on the track. Although I KNEW I was hauling ass, it was so relaxed it was almost boring. Wasn't any FUN.
Now my Gixxer 600, on the other hand.......
Man, there is no replacement for the power of the 12, muh man. Boredom might be approaching .....

Not to mention the $$$$$$$$$ saved by even upgrading to the new 04 Zx 12 R ! Black on Black with a few extra options is still a ton cheaper!

That bike is stunning and works incrediably in the corners. My problem is that I would be afraid of ever taking it out in the rain, getting it dirty or getting a scratch on it. God forbid if you ever broke something on it. Don't know if I could afford the upkeep. But that bike flat gets with the program. I think I'd prefer the 999 Duc though if I was spending those kinds of dollars.

I agree with all of your points about I-4s vs V-Twins and the cost of an Italian exotic...but tell me this: Isn't the 'softer' (you know what I mean) power delivery of a smooth V-Twin better for the average rider on the street than the on/off punch of even the modern 600s?...if I had the dosh, I'd buy one...if Kawasaki made something like that, I'd buy that, too...I'm talkin' a hi-perf V-Twin streetbike...make the styling ooze sex, too

wormhole - the power delivery on a V-Twin will make any rider better. No if, ands, or butts about it. I've ridden most of the late model Twins; RC51, Mille, TL1000R, SV1000 & Duc 998, 999. Other than being a little on the heavy side, I really prefer the RC51 ('02 -up). From a pure sex standpoint, the Duc is hands down winner (and I prefer the 998 to the 999 from a styling standpoint).
