My lawyer saved the day!
Just got a call from my lawyer. He said the city prosecutor and the Michigan State Liasion were really wanting to sock me 4 points on my record and a $250 fine for my 100mph in a 70 ticket I got in July. They told as soon as he sat down with them that I have 6 points now and a lifetime driving record "a mile long" and didn't deserve a break. Well, my attorney told them about my trying to get home as soon as possible because Alli (my daughter) was very ill, which is all true. He said he told them "you both have kids, what would you do if you were in a different state and the person babysitting your daughter called you and said get home right now?" The two appearantly looked at each other, softened a bit and agreed to a 1 point violation plus $100!!!!!! Hot fucking damn, I take back everything I've ever said about sleazy lawyers....

Glad your attorney helped you out brother. My attorney, who is a close personal friend, has helped me out tremendously over the past year. There are a few good lawyers out there contrary to popular belief.
