DGVI guys, another question. TPS??
Before I purchased the Yosh system for my 12 I had the cat cut out of the stock exhaust and the holes drilled, and according to Y2K's instructions had adjusted the TPS on the bike the manual way, not with the voltmeter. If you recall that meant letting the bike run til it was hot, raising the idle to 2000rpms then rotating the TPS until it reached the highest possible RPM then locking it down and returning the idle to normal. At the time with the stock exhaust this "fix" did indeed remedy a low end hesitation I had and made it much smoother at low trottle speeds. Now, I have abviously had the Yosh on there for a long time but never returned the TPS to the stock setting which is what I understood I was suppposed to do. The reason? I have no idea how to do it. As most of you know I am a moron when it comes to electronics. Is it possible to tap into the knowledge and experience of my fellow DGVI attenedees to help me get the TPS back to stock? Does anyone know how to do it and what setting it should be at? If so, and someone is willing to help me, what tools should I bring? I think I still have the #25 Torx bit with safety nub, but the multimeter I have is a piece of shit, and not digital. Should I but a good one and bring that?

First off.......
First off you're a goddamned MORON period!!!!  Now that I've got that out of my system........... 
I've got a good Fluke meter I will bring, but I have no experience in setting the TPS. I've never touched mine,...EVER. I always bring my meter with me on these trips just incase, so I got you covered there. I also have some tamper proof torx bits.
I wouldn't mind learning how to do this though, shouldn't take but a few minutes to do it eh????

I understand it literally only takes a couple minutes. I bet Sherman can do it. We'll wait to see if he rings in on this thread.

I have the #25 torx bit (with the lil' "safety hole") ready to rock, The voltage at a warm idle should be between 1.084v~1.086v when measured between the yellow and brown wires.
I was just checking the service manual (pg. 2-57) and it said to check with the engine "stopped". Funny, I've always done it with the engine running. Oh well.
Oh yeah, I got two meters but neither one of them are a "high falutin'" Fluke.

Ain't nuttin' but a thang, bro. It's usually easier to put the probes in with the intake cover off, but that's when your doin' it by yourself. Still, it should take less the ten minutes andt that's "elk minutes" to boot!

how much of a diference does that make for the low hesitation....?
I have never done it, and not sure if its something I should look at doing?

Thanks Red. HDL Do you still have the stock exhaust? If so I think it's worth it to make the change. It helped me out.

no...when my bike was stock it was perfect...I didnt have a need to do anything to it. I added the full Muzzy system and pc, and a few other goodies...now its a littel flat on the bottom, but much better since Kcadby got a hold of it.....
