ZX-12 aftermarket headlight kit

Hey folks,

Have you seen these before? I think they're pretty pimp. They have that new Mercedes look. At the very least, it'll make my 12 stand out.

OK, be warned. There are a bunch of cool new (well, new to us) goodies here:

http://www.sp12.com/index.html

Please note that the site is entirely in German. So, unless you speak German, you'll have to use this to translate it:

As far as I know, these lights are made for the 00/01 models. They have a bunch of upgrades here that will make you 00/01 look like an 03 of you feel like it. The lights were the only ones there that really caught my eye as something I'd want to put on my bike.

And, in case you're too lazy to look, this headlight assembly is 149.00 Euro's. That's $163.71 US with the current exchange rate.

Sorry, man. Unfortunately, the translator doesn't translate all of the frames. From the first link, click on 'wieter' (enter) twice. That'll take you to the home page with the frames. Look on the left frame and click on:

Frontverkleidung

The translator says that it means 'front lining.' From there, click on:

Scheinwerfereinheit

It looks like they have a green one too, but it doesn't look as good.

The stock assembly is just under $190 from Ron Ayers so these are very competitively priced unless shipping is outrageous. I wish there was some way to compare the light output and beam shape from this setup. I think the stock beam is pretty damn good.

judging from the pic, i'm wondering if it's not a honda style headlight, which is to say one highbeam, one lowbeam. the 2 large lights seem to be of differing types: one projector, one reflector. i'd almost guarantee the former is the high, and latter is the low beam. thinking the little projector-looking lenses in the corners are turn signals. if that's the case, light output is gonna be less than stellar.
