what is the best clutch package?
hello all, I am a proud owner of a silver (the rawest color) zx12r. I have a question just went thru my first clutch and I want to switch to a new one. What clutch is the best? I have been checking out this site for about a year and I finally set up a account, this is a great site and very helpful. Thanks if anyone can help.

If you have a 2002, 03 and are not drag racing it, just put OEM plates back in, no one seems to make better ones.
If you have a 2000 or 01?? you might want to buy a Muzzy clutch kit which gives better oiling and uses 10 2mm steels (stock set up uses11 1.6mm steels).
If you are dragging it you'll want a billet basket AND the Muzzy kit. Seems like a lot of money, but worth it.

OEM fibers and steels only...that is what the Muzzy kit comes with. The billet basket is a great investment also. Might want to slip 3 or 6 ZX-6R springs in there while you are at it.

10 2.0mm steels 11fibers...both OEM...id recommend the basket and hub too if you are going to be abusing the clutch.
if you dont want those parts..you can get the fibers/steels cheaper through ronayers.com
