Damn. My money has been flying out of the window as well. With the money I spent on just speeding tickets I could have bought another set of tires. Plus I just found out my house payment is going up $400/month. Fuck. Didn't plan on that.
Plus other shit that's piling up - I came close to calling this off as well.
Guess I'll start putting shit up for sale on Ebay (like my Southwest award tickets I probably won't use).
But dammit - I'm gonna show up. Ain't gonna miss this.

Yep....
I know how you feel Jon. I've spent quite a bit for the trip so far and still have things I need to take care of that will cost some $$$$.
Within the past month:
New Supercorsas $350
EBC HHs for the front $70
New digital Tire pressure gage $25
New riding gloves for the wife $50
New riding jacket for the wife $180
Jacket to match wife's new one $180 
Another rear tire and assorted crap I ordered today $165
Still gotta get the skins mounted, and pull maintenance on the truck. Truck is going into the body shop next Tuesday for some "minor" repairs @ a cost of $400. (don't ask)
Everytime I turn around it's a $100 here.......$250 there.......bla bla fucking blahhhhhhhhhh.........

Jim I'm up for other rides as well, we usually ride the gap and Cherahole during the week when the po po are sleeping anyway. I most certainly want to do our Blue Ridge Run though. I love the BR.

Yes you did, and yes it does. It's a pretty extreme haul for sure. Interstate travel has never been so interesting.

lmfao.....guess I will have to leave mine at home for the gap weekend.
Got a question for you all. I have been talking to Kelly, and she has given me the ok to come up a few days early. I am gonna ride my 12 up there a few days early. What I need to know is can I crash on the floor somewhere untill she comes up on the 19th. Cant really afford to go get a hotel and I dont think there is any camping anywhere close by....?
So can someone help a brother out?
