pro pipe... large diameter 4/1
great for drag racing & large displacement engines
usually very good WOT & upper rpm ranges
usually not very good low & mid ranges

would love to have a smaller diameter pipe
same design
for road racing /canyon type riding

flight leader, the early Akrapovics for the zx12r that I saw were a 4-1 design. They stumbled badly from 3500-5500 rpm. They made good power from 8000 up. A friend had one in mid 2000 on his bike and he took it off in a few weeks and put a Muzzy 4-2-1 on it. It didnt loose any HP up top and the 2000-5500 range was much, much better. I used to have the dyno charts but they are long gone now from a disk drive crash in early 2001. I posted them on labusas at the time but they too had huge crashes back then. I dont believe they exist anymore unless some of the old board members coppied them?

I've had my akra for nearly 3 years, and never had stumbling problems. The PCiiir did smooth it out some but didn't help much in the hp dept. My bike made 156 stock, 167 w/the AKRA, and 168 with the PCiiir. Dyno #'s vary, all I know is that I've taken my bike up against every pipe out there and never lost a dyno shootout against another 12.
