Well I recovered my 2002 KX500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I waited almost 3 weeks before I started going around to places and posting $ 500 for the bike and $500 for the arrest for the people who stole the bike. I waited for the fucker to get some balls to ride it before I posted it. I printed 15 papers today with the photo of the bike; color photo too. I went to a few gas stations and a few stores
then I had 2 left to post so I went to K-mart and they said you can't post it here and on the way out I put one on the pop machine outside, 2 kids said nice zx12r and I said if you see this KX500 I will pay a reward for it (and guess what) LOL They said they just seen a guy flip one like that about 1hr ago and I said are you sure it's the same one and the kid said yep about 2 blocks away and we know where he lives, there is 150,000 people that live in Rockford IL, what are the odds. So I asked them if I call the police will you show them where and they said sure. So when the cops got there 45 min later the cops ask them to ride and show them but first they patted them down and the one kid had a bag of weed but the cop was cool with him and just took it he got lucky anyhow we waited in front of the guys house for 3 hours before they got in the garage and sure enough it was in there he told the cops he had bought it for $960 (sure) and they didn't arrest him ,what the fuck!
He was parting it out he knew it was hot I got most of the bike back it's fucked up though
Tomorrow they better arrest him when the investigators go there or I will be pissed off like a motherfucker or he better spill the beans if he didn't do it. Stolen property is a felony anyhow I got it back!
The bike is in bad shape though but I am glad to get it back!!!!

...it must be proven that he knew it was stolen when he 'bought' it...if he cannot come up with the seller's identity, he's as good as guilty...but if even if he knows the seller's identity and bought stolen goods knowingly, he's cooked...unless the DA makes a deal for him to snitch biggger fish...one way or another, somebody should or WILL go to jail...some investigations take time for evidence gathering to make it stick...unfortunately, its a property crime, important but not of the highest of priorities in some jurisdictions...its not like T.V.

Mark, I didn't know you lived in Rockford. We gotta ride to the river some weekend. What's the sportbike scene like? Better than Freeport I hope. Oh yeah, good to hear about the bike too.

12RPilot,
yes we should every sat a bunch of us go riding sometimes about 30 people it's a blast there is even a few chicks that ride and there kinda hot too. Every night of the week at least 10 or so go riding I just got back it started to rain a little so we called it quits. Anyhow let me know if you want to go and I will come over to Freeport and meet you then we can meet up with the others or something.
Well the insurance totaled out my 2002 kx500 today and IL law won't let me buy it back!

The logic is deeply rooted in the commy/nazi laws this state is governed by. Where is the logic in banning my rifles and any gun .50 cal and over (which would include a 12 ga and 20 ga shotgun)? Oops. I got off on a rant. Can you tell I despise my state government? Sorry necro.

Mark, I live in Chicago, and the law in Illinois is even if he didn't steal your bike he was in "possession" of a stolen moter vehicle. He only needed to possess it, the bike had no keys and he had no title for it. You should speak with a supervisor from the Rockford police Dept and tell them YOU WANT TO FILE A COMPLAINT! They should be happy to hear this since they can clear the PSMV and a Burglary with the arrest of this ass hole for your bike. Once in custody he more than likely will give up the burglar unless he is one in the same. Our law is slightly different from Calif. I just arrested a guy for having a stolen bike in his garage here around 3 months ago. If I got the charges approved in "crook county" rockford P.D. should have no problems. Worm hole was right though, property crime is not at the top of the priority scale. Remember the squeaky wheel gets oiled. Stick it up that guys ass! I hate thieves!!!!!! Also if you find someone with a Salavage licence they can get your bike back from the Insurance company. The catch is I don't think the state will give you plates for a salavage motorcycle.
