Something to feels good

Clean your 12.

Every bit, nuts parts etc.. make her shine.

It's a way of concentration and thinking.

That's a good idea. I haven't found a good product to clean around the brake calipers and forks though. Any idea?

Yeah, ninjaman is a clean freak with his bike. Not that there is anything wrong with that as his 12 always looks great. I just crack up when we get back from a ride and he's all in there cleaning every damn part on his bike and I'm just looking around for the hoobie.

I would imagine Ninjawoman would be any more obsessive that Elk.

You could eat off of his tires after he's done cleaning his bike.

Makes me feel guilty just thinking about how neglected my bike is. But I'm getting better!

Sure frEEk. I'll clean ya like my bike. First off, let's do a little "irragation". We'll start with the synthetic alcohol enema. Bend over. It'll only burn for a little bit. Come on frEEk... stay still. REEEEEEEEEEAL STILL!

GOZR, like Ninjaman and Lucky 12, after EVERY ride. If it rains while I'm riding, at least the lower fairings (if not more) will come off when I get home.

necro, I use alcohol to clean the rotors and calipers. Since my synthetic alcohol (get it from work) is stronger the rubbing alcohol, I can't use it on plastic or painted surfaces. I can use it on the tires though. I learned that from Lucky 12 and it works great.

Damn.
Just got her all polished up, swingarm, the lot, then went for a quick spin and this happened. I thought it had started raining, but no, it was friggin' beasties. Couldn't see a damn thing by the time I got home.
Ah fuck it, I'll clean it again next week.

Looks a bit like a picture in that ZX12R coffee-table book in the silver cover though don't you think?

Necro,
I'm with you - nothing seems to make the gold calipers sparkle - when they get the hot brake dust in them it seems to stay there.
And I don't like the solvent brake cleaner, too damned severe, I reckon it might take the paint off some things!
Any good ideas anyone?

And don't suggest WD40.

Thanks redelk, I'll try that.

I had something that came in a small bottle few years ago. Can't remember the name of it. It was clear thick liquid and worked like magic.
