Why dont you want Nitrous? From you calling it "NOS" im going to assume you dunno shit about it and learned about it perhaps from watching Biker Boys..or fast and the furious?

Why not educate yourself on all types of power adders before you make your decision?

If nitrous didnt work...people wouldnt use it.

Yes I realize this; I only have 1000miles on it and already trying to take it to the extreme.
I might just get a pipe, air filter and a good map and wait on the turbo for next summer I would love to see what a turbo would do too this thing then again it could make it to quick for me and end up flipping it going from fast to extreme too quick.
I am thinking though, couldn't I set the boost really low to start out until I get the hang of it?
I FOUND THIS POST.
I had the swing arm extended 6" longer, because the bike was not ride able (5th gear wheelies).
(((Not ride able LOL)))
Maybe I should think twice about this 5th gear wheelies WOW.

Perhaps you should educate yourself a bit more on mods prior to paying someone to install them for you.

You do realize that nitrous does the EXACT same thing as a turbo or supercharger....it simply does it chemically instead of mechanically. Its perfectly safe if you know what you are doing.

That being said..it would seem you simply want to get a turbo just because it "sounds like a nifty idea and will truly increase my poser status to unequaled levels".....not because you have done any sort of research on the subject. So you should go that route.

Research on the subject well that's what I am doing now I haven't bought anything yet
It just seams like the ecomical way to go. I am going to wait until next summer and just get a pipe, air filter and a good map I need to think this out and research it more also make sure this is what I want.
Anyhow thanks for your thought's >your car is slow< (my car-vette was not) 502cid 8.2 $4995crate motor 450hp stock, 750 Holley. I upgraded it with a .620/lift crane roller hydraulic cam, kit triple valve springs, fluid damper harmonic balancer $1100, silicon forged pistons looped compression from 9.0 to 10.5 to 1, roller rockers, stainless valves boron nuts and studs for rods, nuts are 10 grams lighter each than stock, high torque starter victor jr manifold 1100cmf, electric water pump 190+mph and your off to see the Wizard! This is what I replaced the 350cid with that NOS killed; don't get it wrong I liked the NOS just too much.Since the vette I have pulled the motor and going to put it in a 55 belair with all corvette
suspension,17"goodyear eagles 13"front disc zr1 vette rotors rack and pinion steer aluminum a-arms rear independent suspension all polished.

Back to the bike.
It just seams like the ecomical way to go.

Nitrous

$450 Kit delivered
$.50 resistor

2hrs (max) install time

so..thats a "bolt on" 220+ hp (depending on how big a jet you want to use) for less than 500 bucks.

How on earth can you see a turbo as more economical?

Its your dime chief...I wish you the best of luck.

(if it was me...id have a huge motor...AND a turbo )

Keep it simple and reliable, Pipe,Power commander, 1270 piston kit(Muzzys),stock head, crank, trans and cams will give you 190-195 HP.I have ran this combo for 8000 miles and it still impresses me.

Mark,
A few things-
There are no sleeves
There are no carbs
There is no need for big valves
You don't need to bore the cases

Somebody please help this man out.

And where did you get those prices??
Slotted cam sprockets for $60?!
Cams for $400?! More like 1200...

Believe me....the turbo will cost WAY more than that before you will be satisfied with it. Sure it will have lots of HP, but will it be rideable? Boost controller, stronger clutch, longer arm, power commander, NOS for the turbo, lower comp pistons, billet crank, the list goes on and on......and turbo bikes are very.....how should I say it......maintenance intensive!!

A little hard on the guy,no?I met a guy who has a turbo on a 1100 suzuki and he says he has to watch real carefully on the throttle.Either it'll break loose or wheelie straight up in the triple digit speeds, this is why I said you'd better know your riding skills. There's a reason there's not a lot of turbo's out there.Don't forget the 12's piston are high compression. What kind of riding and speed do you do,or is this just for street racing?

hey mark. ur best bet is to search thru old posts. there are prolyl horus of discussions on the topic of pipes. re the pc3... u can get a better price than that. SPencer cycle comes in at about $70 less i believe. he's got some good packages with pipe, PC, and filters or something too.

Ah...the only real player with a "ture" street kit is Velocity right now. McXpress kits are not being imported because of the high exchange rate.

Some assembly required...hehe. And the system retails a bit more than $5,000. More like $5900 PLUS about 2 days to install it.
The MrTurbo kit is pathetic. You'd do better and get more hp from a Muzzy stealth nitrous kit for 1/4 of the price.
Can you handle all the hp??
