Question on unleashed power?

Around 5 people have told me now at 1000 miles the ZX12R has more power because its held back until breakin by the bikes brain.
Any truth to this?

No electronic restrictions, but like most myths, there is some "fact" in the belief that the bike makes more power after some mileage has pass. Most believe that the 12R's engine is "tight" prior to it's break in. Still, instead of a short "1000 miles", it usually closer to 3~4K before these beasts will reach their optimum output.

Nothing really as nafarious as a KMC/KHI plot to electronical restrict the bike for a limited period time (not counting the "speed restriction" on later models), but just a engine built to a fairly close tolorances.
