when bike was new, would be about $2400 or so with full discount (40%). i skipped theft & paid ~$1400 a year. now, prolly about $1800 a year with everything just cause the value of the bike is that much lower. as it stands i insured it for 6 months for about $400, but that's with nothing but basic liability.

This is for an RC-51. It may be cheaper on the ZX-12R because we all know it is not as performance orinted as the Honda. LOL
For 6 months of basic on the road .... $450.00; private coverage for theft, fire, collision and comprehensive for 12 months is another @415.00. The private coverage acts as storage insurance when off the road but if I get a tag for the odd sunny day in January it automatically goes back to on the road insurance.

Just to make it hurt those are tiny little Canadian dollars too!

sikorsky, that's with Kirkpatrick i assume? that's damn cheap. i definitely have to look them up for theft. they require 10 years of license period or 10 years of class 6? i'm fucked if it's the latter. just squeak by if its the former. i'm still a bit worried about them tho. i wonder how they can be SO much cheaper & still run a business? things i hear suggests they'r pretty good about claims so i just dont get it.

State Farm $258.00/year liability and comprehensive no collision. The comp pays for anything that isn't your fault like theft, fire, trees falling, or deer! That last one is a big plus for me!
