No, I'll change that for those that think a high performance brake on the rear might be desireable.

I have used Performance Friction in the 911 Porsche and at the othr end, my Chevy Astro Van! In the Porsche, it was almost as much fun to stop ans it was to go! The come in like normal pads, then you must start releasing the brake because the longer the stop and the harder the stop the harder the pads stop you! I flat spotted on tire on the Porsche in a serious stop!

Just in time, I was getting ready to buy some more Ferodo's, (The 1st turn out at Maxrton eats pads!) I think this is the ticket! Thanks Doug!

Wasn't referring to you, YCIS. I know you know better, just to those that might misconstrue my use of "bike set"........
BTW, Vincent I've had them on my Durango (along with drilled stainless rotors) for over a year- That thing STOPS!)

So what do you think the comparison is for someone using HH+ pads? This is the first I've heard of the carbon compound. I'm familiar with sintered metallic and so forth.

The EBC pads need to warm up a bit before they really bite. And gradual use of them (not at race pace) if you are riding w/o jamming the brakes on the street seems to make them glaze over.

So, am I correct in reading into this that these pads don't have those characteristics?

I think that would be safe to say, especially the glazing part.
BUT, braking performance is a personal matter. I like the way these work alot. They suit me. I like to stop hard from high speeds, but don't like an abrupt initial bite and I tend to trail brake. They work well around town. The only negative I can think of is the zingy noise from the drilled disks (which I don't mind at all).

Groovy. Thanks, Doug. I'll keep 'em on my list when my other pads wear out (which probably won't be long).

Hmmm....one of the things I like about the "HH" pads is the initial bite; but I hate the way they frag rotors...

Still....might be time to be the first in town to have a set....how about beta tester?
