Bay area Drags

Bay Area Drag Strip
Hey Folks,

I just read and saw on the news about Will Garrett, I didn't know Will but I was surprised after I saw the news tonight that it was here as well...bummer.

My post is in regards to drag racing, my brother and I are seriously looking into the possibility of building a drag strip somewhere just outside the Bay Area, I was wondering if there was anyone with experience in Drag strip logistics or Racing Venue management, Im am going to need some help with certain things but this is a goal I am seriously trying to obtain. Please PM me if you have any ideas, Im tried of folks having no place local to race and more tired of kids dying to have ten seconds of fun, it's so senseless. My plans are to create a track that is open to all types of draging, bracket, grudge, legends and possibly NHRA or IHRA sanctions, I know it will be difficult, but I think I can pull it off.

RIP Will.

Thanks for listening.

Mike

I know one of the head honchos personally at NHRA! If you have the resources I'm sure they will listen??!?! But ........... The track at Sonoma is NHRA isn't it? I remember Fremont ...........one of the best tracks in the country as far as "air" was concerned.
