3 Pass Blast / Sportbike NW
Greetings,
Sound RIDER! has produced two 5 minute videos which you can watch online about our summer events - The 3 PASS BLA$T and SPORTBIKE NORTHWEST.
FEEL FREE TO FORWARD THIS MESSAGE ALONG TO OTHERS.
(You will need Windows Media Player 9 to watch these videos, which you can download at:
http://windowsmedia.com/9series/download/download.asp.)
** The Ride West Insurance 3 PASS BLA$T **
This video outlines the history of endurance competition in Washington and some of the things you might want to know about the 3 PASS BLA$T before you ride. You can watch it at:
http://www.mm411.com/video/3Pass03-bb.wmv
* $500 Club Jackpot
Last year's club jackpot of $500 was won by the Washington State BMW Riders. We take the average time of all the members who ride and the club with the time closest to the Absolute time wins the kitty. If you'd like to have a Sound RIDER! representative at your next club meeting to explain the 3 PASS BLA$T and the club prize to your group call 206-329-7808, or email 3pass@soundrider.com.
* Road Construction Updates/Weather Conditions
The State of Washington provides road construction updates online. You may find these useful to review prior to making your assault.
We'd also caution you to look at weather conditions, especially on the east side of the Cascades where it could get up to 100 degrees on the same day it's 60 degrees in Enumclaw.
For road conditions and more details visit http://www.soundrider.com/3pass
** SPORTBIKE NORTHWEST **
After many hours of riding and editing the video documentary for the upcoming Sportbike Northwest event is online too! Included is a lot of footage of the surrounding areas where the poker runs and the recommended rides will take place. There's exclusive footage taken on the Maryhill Loops road, which is closed to the public, but will be open to those registered at the event on Saturday. If you love sweepers you will soon see this is an event you won't want to miss. You can watch it at:

* The Time To Sign Up Is NOW!
July is the last month you can sign up at the reduced rate of $59Starting in August the rate goes to $69 for the four days and will be $79 if you arrive at the event unregistered. Why did we do this? It takes a lot of planning to put this event together. Since breakfast and dinner are catered we'll have to give the food providers head counts well in advance so they can plan ahead and have the right amount of food on hand.
* Club Discounts
Clubs interested in getting the discount rate of $49 for their members need to have a club representative call Tom at 206-329-7808 and he will arrange a promotional code members can use when they register online or by mail. And incidentally, we consider online groups like the Moto Dragons, PNW Ducati, and others to be clubs too, simply have a representative give us a call. CBSBC members, Dave Preston has already been given the promotional code.
* Ride for Kids
Sportbike Northwest coincides with The Ride For Kids event in Washington this year. If you're torn between the two you can write out your check to Ride for Kids and come ride Sportbike Northwest with us. Make out your check to Ride For Kids and mail it to Pete Wicken c/o University Honda/Yamaha - Ride for Kids 2003, 420 E Pike Street, Seattle, WA 98122
Again, if you know others who would like to see these videos, please forward this message to them.
If you would like a VHS or CD-ROM copy of either of these videos to show your group, simply write us at video@soundrider.com and put "Video Request" in the subject line. Be sure to include your mailing address, the name of your group or club, and a phone number.
Both videos were produced locally by Mixed MEDIA, using the R-Cam by Cyberspeed Technologies. If you would like more information about either company, send an email to info03@soundrider.com.
Best Regards,
Tom Mehren
