The 9.0 ZX12 went down...
Well...John was at the SEMDRA race in Ga. saturday...
It was after dark...EVERYONE said the track was crappy (traction) John was Dialed faster than the other guy...he locked up the front brake at the traps...slid through the traps at 102mph (all SEMDRA races are 1/8-mile)...
HE is in GREAT SHAPE!!! considering he went down at over 100...
They said he slid and tumbled quite nicely
Bruised BOTH Shoulders, Elbows, Hands, Knees...NO ROAD RASH!!! (Thank You Vansons!!!!!!)...
I was at his place Sunday and he realy IS in good shape...he is TOUGH also so that will help
The BIKE is ALSO...in GREAT shape!!!
Clutch cover, right lower, brake lever, mirror(yes they are STILL on the bike )...
Since it happened at dark...everyone said it was an AWSOME display of sparks (magnesium clutch cover) and oil fire (oil from hole in clutch cover)...
Some guy is supposed to be sending us a VIDEO of the crash...
John AND bike are both...FINE!!!

I'm glad john is ok! Shit that could have been really bad.

Speaking of video :-)
I hope your buddie is okay! And the bike too. If you get it on tape forward it I will post it (if that is what he wants).

Same thing happened at one of our tracks last year. The track owner is thinking about not letting bikes run bracket classes.
I'm not a big fan of dial in racing, anytime ya gotta back out it's not racing in my book. Of course it could be that I just suck at bracket racing, Lord knows I've tried.

John is fine...SORE of coarse but fine...
I will probably take one of the rotors/calipers off the front now...he hardly ever rides it on the street any more...
I know a guy that crashed at 162mph THE SAME WAY!!!
World Finals a FEW years ago...Top Gas (8.20 class 1/4-mile) he did it in the FINAL ROUND and WON but he locked the front brake trying to make sure he didn't break-out...
HE broke his wrist but that was his worst injury...scared the ba-Jeezus out of all of us when it happened...I was on deck getting to run in MY FINAL ROUND of Pro-ET when it happened...I red-lit and lost

Not Racing, but coming through an Overpass I see the Police Radar through the Pillars and snatch the front brake way to hard and and locked the front wheel for part of a second and the front end slid out to the right! Of course I let off the brake and saved it! My wife thought it was fun and I needed the AC to stop sweating! That 1/2 second takes forever to describe and only 1/2 more to fall!

Yup...it is AMAZING how many things can/DO go through your brain in such a short/instant!!!
I used to ride a Alki/Turbo FunnyBike...it took me at LEAST 20 minutes to recall/think-of...the things that went through my mind during a low 7-second run...EEEK!!!
