Saw my first V-Rod today
Hi guys.....Saw the Harley V-Rod at CycleWorld here in Toronto today. Frankly, I was disappointed with the overall finish and the styling. That radiator set-up needs work. I'm sure it goes like hell and handles resonably well for a criuser, however for the street, I by bikes, first and foremost because I like the way they look! $30K is alot of dough for this bike.
Let's see what Doug Meyers thinks of the VR, after spending a week on the various big bore cruisers, assuming they had a Rod of course.
Cheers,
Cliff

I really want to see this bike in person! I like the look of it and would consider buying one. For 30K it won't happen! I refuse to pay over sticker for anything thats called RAPE!

For $30K you should be riding a one of a kind bike. It reminds me of the Plymouth Prowler. Yeah, they're neat looking, but there are alot of them out there.

I saw a guy with one parked along the street at Toys for Tots last Sunday. It's not quite as ugly as I thought it would be.

Did you guys see the show on how it was cluged together (can't say engineered, that would be an insult to those of us who went to school and worked hard to become engineers)? It is a joke, the stylists dictated the entire project, the test track was behind some guys house in the rain, and they struggled to get the thing to run long enough to make it to make it to work and back. What a pile. The worst part is they will sell shitloads. The best part these idiots think they are actually fast. There is money to be made before they find out they are nothing more than just a Harley joke.
