The RZ is a 1989 , I roadraced it in '92 and '93 . 377 cc's and bored the carbs about 1millimeter . New (slightly used) transmission .... Checked and greased all the bushings and steering head bearings and installed new fork seals . It sat in the basement for the last three or four years gathering dust , I finally got off my ass and started getting parts together for it last summer so my neighbours daughter could ride it , instead of my passenger seat ..... I got one set of the window bars fabricated yesterday and the other set is all cut and drilled - ready for final fitting and welding . Then I can develop half of the basement .  . And JJ is right , I need to clone myself .......

I'm hoping so , and I figure that it might be a pain in the ass to learn to street ride on but after you learn on a peaky two stroke , you're set for life and any other bike will be easy .... Plus she's a good kid , so if I can help her out , then it's all good . Beer fridge is in the basement too .....

This guy , I've never met before but in the next few days it looks like that may change ......I bought a 1991 FZR 600 from a lady friend about two years ago , she'd bought it in '99 or 2000 , did all the usual stuff such as check for liens etc. and had it for three years , registered and insured each year ...... as it turns out the bike had been stolen in 1992 ....... so here i sit with a very dusty ( no time to do anything with it yet , was going to use it for the track ) FZR 600 in my basement that may not be mine anymore .........FUCK !
Now I've got to give the paperwork on the bike to him and see what can be done with the insurance company - he said they don't think it's worth enough to be worth their while so they will give me a letter releasing the bike to me .....Time will tell ......

That's the fucked part , the lady I bought it from used to be a bank loans official and went through all the checking to make sure it was all good ( lien check and such ) and it came up clean , then she registered it and rode it for a couple years ........ The DMV computer never showed it . The cops were , in a nutshell , just trying to clear the desk of some old unsolved cases , ran a check through the DMV and found that she was the last one to register it , called her and she told them to call me .....I never did anything with the bike ( including registering it ) as I was going to use it on the track when I had time to make it all come together ........Luckily I haven't spent any money or time on it since I bought it ......
