Yosemite and Sequoia

Well, I'm off to Yosemite and Sequoia with Worm Hole to do some motorcycle camping.
As usual, he's doing last minute motorcycle repairs and hasn't packed yet. Maybe he'll want to replace the motor before we go too.
Well, at least I'm not rushed!!

Should be a good time.
later.

Just go to his house.
He's still loading up his bike.
Right now, it is drizzling out.
Supposed to be in the 80's through the desert part.
temp range from 35-75 night/day at yosemite

...900-plus miles later...we're baaaaack...awesome riding through Yosemite Nat'l Park and Sequoia Nat'l Park...I want to publicly proclaim a great big 'THANK YOU, BUDDY!' to ddpete3 for making this motorcycle camping trip with me...my 'birthday ride' gets better and better each year on this bike ...the high altitude hikes to the waterfalls in the parks were breath-taking (literally!) and incredible...the days were warm and clear...the nights were freezin' c-c-c-cold!!!...wildlife everywhere!...we even managed to snag the perfect campsite at the edge of the raging stream in Sequoia...and we subjected ourselves to full-body immersions in the streams with what was probably 40 degree water cuz' we're just wacky that way ...the older I get, the younger I feel

My balls shrunk so much from the water, I still can't find them.

Hey, fellas. Seems as how you all are versed in multimilage:

I assume you have a strap on (heh, heh, heh) tank bag. What do you do with your back strap (heh, heh) the one by the seat, when you don't want the tank bag on there? I just take it off but it's a pain in the ass to take half the damned bike apart.

Am I missing something?

Besides Bart's good lovin'? Oooo wait. I'll get summore that in September. .... ah...someone wake me up when it's September....

I don't remove the strap, but I still have to take the seat off. I just take the strap and tuck it back up in the tail section. No big deal, just 2 bolts to remove the seat.

Yeah, I tried to just tuck the buckles under the seat but they interfere with the positioning. Guess I just need to play with my strap on a bit more.

I always ride with a tankbag...I keep my extra face shield, cell phone, water bottle, various crap in there. I'm used to the tank bag, so it's no problem.

...the two rear straps of my Marsee tankbag loop beneath and around the rear pivot of the gas tank...yes, its 'permanently' secured there...when I don't use my tankbag, I just tuck the straps under the pilot's seat (which requires some disassembly), but when I use my tankbag, it just drapes on the side when the bag is not in use...its not a big deal for me, but requires more disassembly if you have a Dino hunge modification...
