Ok Boyz,...it's almost GAP TIME!!!!!

Well here we are, time for another well deserved vacation and what do I decide to do??? GO TO THE FREAKIN' MOUNTAINS AND HANG OUT WITH A BUNCH OF WORTHLESS MF's!!!

I'm ready to go, looking forward to it all. The rides will be awesome, the smacktalk will be of epic proportion, and the bench racin' will be the stuff of legends. There will be so much crap going on at times it'll be hard to keep up with it all. I hope everyone that comes has a great time, and safe rides. NO GET OFFS!!!!!! If this trip is one third as fun as the one last September I'm gonna be stoked. We had a blast, and I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my life.

I'm rollin' out Sunday morning around 7:00. See ya there !!!

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to next week. Picking up my new rear tire tonight, getting the front and rear mounted tomorrow. Picking up the trailer this weekend, shopping at Gordons on Monday night for dinner stuff and I'll be hitting the road Tuesday at 4:30pm. Should put me at the cabin by 12:30a or so. Barto or Rick, please make sure you have your cell phone on Tuesday night and don't be fucking sleeping cause I may need help finding this new cabin.

Oh, the real reason I'm fired up fo this trip? I need a vacation, the last week has been tough. LOL NOT!

Kewl....

Good deal Otis.

Sherm, when are you arriving???? Saturday? Sunday?

If all goes as planned I'll be in the Metropolis of Townsend between 2-3pm Sunday. I'll have to roll to make it by that time, but depending on WTF is happening with I-40 it may be asking too much. Bartentino when are you getting there????

Look forward to meeting you Jon.

Your guy's trip to the gap reminds me of a get together a bunch of my buddies and I had for years. The Annual Great Trout Safari. It has now gone on for 25 years in a row. It is an absolute drunkin, crazy, outrageous fishing trip. The party goes on for a week. And in 25 years, with boats, live bait, eggs, bobbers, dry and wet flies, and even dynamite one year not so much as a single fish has been caught in the dead lake we camp at!

It is an insane party. Sound like we need to invite Harry, Bart and the rest of you responsible adults!

US 129 near Tapoco is CLOSED and higher water levels are expected. Hwy 28 is also CLOSED near Cable Cove on the way to Fontana. The Cherohala Skyway is open, but officials are recommending that you use extreme caution. NEXT UPDATE 5 pm.

Sumbiatch!!!!!

I got some bad reports yesterday about flash flooding and mudslides. Looks like our beer expenses just tripled. Even if we don't get to ride much good times will be o' plenty. I'm calling the State Highway Department and telling them get their asses to work, Bart Rossi is scheduled to arrive Sunday and those fuckin' roads better be ship shape!!!!! OR ELSE!!!!!

Dave,
Bart's bike is really sharp with all the "Fur" on it. NOT!!!!! LMFAO!!! Good one........

zhooligan,
Man your annual trip sounds fun, and real similar to ours. I can tell you firsthand that this group of outcast guarantees nary a dull moment. I can't wait to see what stupid shit happens this time.

The Fuzzy XR doesn't look so bad for taking 28, but look out for the Big Orange Bear. It might be mating season.

It's all good......

Otis,
Man as long as we get a couple of good riding days I'm ok. Yeah,...I'd like to see more than a couple riding days, but I'll take what I can get. We will have an awesome time no matter what.

I'm currently planning some foul weather activities to keep everyone from getting "Cabin Fever". Trying to keep the fun theme intact of course. I'll toss a few of them out there for the folks to comment on.

Activities:
1. Beat the fuck out of Bart in 60 seconds or less.

2. Steal Harry's baloney samidge,....WITHOUT being shot.

3. Beat the fuck out of Bart in 30 seconds or less.(Prizes are doubled)

4. A water burnout competition, unlimitied attempts can be taken providing that the donor bike (Bart's ) holds up.

That's just a sampling of things we can do if we are rained out. BTW, ... activity #3 is near and dear to my heart.

It's not too bad, the washout on 129 is at Tapoco, it can still be ridden from the overlook to the CROT. You just can't make the "loop" from the dragon through the Skyway. Some dirt and debris on the road, just make a scouting run first. Weather is great today. Gotta go ride now

Tennessee closed their side of the dragon today!!

"WEATHER BULLETIN UPDATE THURSDAY 8 AM: US 129 near Tapoco and Hwy 28 near Fontana remain CLOSED. The Cherohala Skyway is OPEN, but use extreme caution. We hear that Tennessee has blocked US 129 leading to the Dragon. The rain has stopped, but it may be days before some of the roads are passable. Remember that many backroads have suffered some damage too. We will be riding today to check-out things first hand.
NEXT UPDATE 4 pm "
