FAILURE At last!!
Just no way to compress the Spring on the Ohlins with the tools I have. I got a serious Spring compressor from Race Tech, but the spring was too much for it also. Finally had to give up and finish a certain amount of work on the Bike today :oops: I will make a split plate to slide in the spring and put the shock in a press and then that should do it.
Problem is the Hydraulic adjustor only has a range of about 1/4 inch and I need more spring. The only way to adjust the collars is to remove the Spring and then the Hydraulic adjustor and then you can adjust the rings! :dwn: :dwn:
I did a "Little" Test down the alley on a cold tire. Launched at 3 k and as soon as it hit about 6k, the tire broke lose and did a little fish tail. Same thing on the return, I may need softer tire and a hotter tire. This was with 18 / 44 gearing and close to 5 inch extended.
Got the new PC3r installed, New Bear Stacks, Rear wheel aligned and installed with the longer chain and all of the thing I had to make like a chain guard.
I still must change top clamps and lower the front and change wind shields and wire the Gear indicator!

For now, this was a serious failure! Someone names Don Blair sent me a note to speak to someone at Fluid Suspensions and I called him and he was past where I was thinking about. He usea a Bearing splitter plate and bolted it to the spring and used a large socket to press the Shock. For Safety, he wrapped the spring with a Tiedown to the Press because he still has a mark on his wall where a spring got away!
Also I figure I will mill about 1.125 odd the hydraulic collar and remove the lock pin and a few other things will allow me to make adjustments from now on! I will do a before and after picture.

I was there when that mark in the concrete wall was created! Dave at Fluid is a good guy and a regular McGyver. Glad I could help you out.
