oil pressure: ever wonder?
me too, so I mounted a mechanical Stewart Warner 2", 0-100psi oil pressure guage.
Pretty easy install with a little help from Swagelok fittings. I used the plug on the rh side of the motor beneath the ign timing cover. Warning: that plug has some green shit on the threads which took heat and a breaker bar...
Just got back my new motor and its showing 38psi @ 3500rpm, 50psi at 4000. Havent't done any sustained rpm higher yet...
The NEXT time i turn my bearings into copper colored potatoe chips, I wanna know what the oil presure was doing.

Yep, lenty o' oil pressure guages, but I just had to have a mechanical, 0-100, white face, 270 degree scale, yadda-yadda-yadda. Ended up spending 35-ish bux + the special fitting to mate with the case.
I doubt if anyone really needs it, but it is fun

First time the 1361 was started...I had a Snap-on guage on it...ran it on the dyno that way also...
I always run a guage (in the shop) on the motors I build
I WILL have a fuel pressure guage on John's and the 1317 when they are on the dyno with NO2...
