One of the nicest things I've heard tonite
Just got done talking to a friend who highsided his bike at Thunderhill recently. Dislocated a shoulder. The thing that really made my day was when he said "Oh...Thanks for turning my on to those Sidi boots. Saved me from a broken ankle." Wow, cool feeling.

I have them as well. I'll have to second that. Sometimes it's difficult to shift if you really need to flex your ankle, but that's a SMALL trade-off for great protection.
You can even almost walk in 'em.
I like 'em. I'd spend my money on some more, I'd guess, when they wear out.

My exoskeleton SIDIs are the most comfortable Roadracing boot I have had. That said I have found them also a pain in the but because of the various external parts coming loose! I carry spare screws, bolts etc. in my gear bag. The Alpine star boot Slug refers to is a great boot once it is broken in. But it needs to broken in. Given what I know I will go back to the Alpine Star. Break it in and just use them as oposed to tinker with them!

As soon as I got the boots, I sat down in front of a movie and took out every screw and loctited it. Never had a problem, but I can bear first hand witness to Z's probs. Felt like a blacksmith shoeing a clydesdale, fixing his boot while he was still wearing it.
