Clutch cover install question... did I fuck this up?
Okay.. . i reinstalled the clutch cover with a new gasket, but now that I (of course after) check the manual I see that it is telling me to put silicone on the engine side of the gasket... of course I didnt do this... do I need to drain all of my oil, take it apart and silicone that?
fuck.

I've never used the silicone on the gasket at all and I've had my clutch cover off over a dozen times.
Early on, I did put a little copper RTV on the two right side bolts because it looked like they had red thread locker on them originally. I haven't done that in over a year though.
You're ok fish........don't sweat it.

did you know that you don't need to drain your oil to get in that clutch area?
when on a rear stand, it would only possibly drip out maybe 3-4 tablespoons, that's all.
When on the kickstand, you get only a few drips.

I've had John's cover off at LEAST 10 times and haven't had to replace the gasket yet
We even ordered one in case we needed it...that was at least a year ago...STILL new in the package...
NO silicone...NO leaks
