Most likely it is at Baghdad International Airport or very near Baghdad.

Hopefully HDL will be able to get online in the next few weeks and give us an update on his well being. God Speed to HDL and all the troops.

This is HDL's girlfriend kelly. I got a couple letters from him before the invasion and he was asking about the banner. He told me to tell fish_antlers or freek that if you sent the banner he would have to bring it home, he can't send packages anymore. Oh and something about bullet holes...he said you would know what I was talking about. He can receive letters though. Here is the address if anyone would like it.

SSG James Wolkens
HHC/SCOUTS/1-64 AR, 2BCT, 3ID
UNIT # 93205
APO AE 09303-3205

1st Brigade 3rd Infantry took the airport. 2nd Brigade (HDL) was riding though the southern part of Bagdad. That is one good thing about my being in the army, it helps if you want to know where someone is. He also said he is hoping to be home by Memorial Day, but I don't see that happening. I just do alot of hoping and praying. I know this post was about the banner but I thought you might like some info.

Since it's an APO military address it shouldn't be that much.

Thanks for the update! If you happen to talk to him wish him luck and tell him we need it for Laguna Seca this summer so he'd better get his ass back here!

It is like normal mail 35 cents. He sends mail for free back. With an APO the postal service gets it to New York and then the military takes it to its final destination. That is why I laugh at the people that pay extra to get a letter or package to them. When I was stationed in Germany I had the dealer overnight a key to my car...it took 7 days...lol. The post office only has to have it in NY overnight, not to Germany...lol. Take care guys.
