Stooopid Brake Shoe Question

I know all you gear heads will know this one.

I ordered some new brake shoes, HH (thought I was getting HH+). Anyway, while putting them on during my SS brake line project I noticed that my 12 came stock with HH shoes.

Am I dumb, or will putting on those EBC pads not offer any better braking?

I figgerd with HH+ I'd be getting a bit more bite, but with the HH I'm not sure I"m really gaining anything.

My current shoes probably have another 5k miles left on 'em, I guess. Not real interested in swapping 'em out if I'm not getting an upgrade.

Also put on SS brake lines and I definately have more power, but I'd like a little more initial bite.

I have about $70 in shoes on the floor of the garage. What's the consensus, boys?

They are pads, not shoes. Go ahead and yell at me for being picky.

I put the EBC HH pads on both my 12's and they are very different from the stock pads and make a big difference.

Put them on, bed them in, and then ask yourself if you can tell the difference.

I am on my 10th or 11th (lost count) set. The EBCs are definetely better.

The EBC's definitely stop and or grab better. They are also a little harder on rotors. That all said I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

SInce no one asked, I will. WHY are you calling Brake "PADS" Shoes? Shoes go in Drums and and have never come in HH. Plus, I would never have guessed this was a ZX12 Question because of it, but it is late and I was up! Not spanking you, but I "REALLY" do want to know.

Thanks for the corrections, guys, on the shoes vs. pads. I have an English degree and I'm gonna start being a prick about the your and you're shit if ya'll keep it up. That drives me crazy.

Especially you, SmurfinDaytona, if I catch you doing it. You should know better.

I knew you guys would know and thanks for the tip. You boys are always helpful.

The EBC PADS project shall commence shortly...

Dave, what Post was that? I looked past this thread a bunch of times because I felt it was either talking about a car or "Older" Bike. Most of you guys are too young to know about Brake Shoes or even carburators on Cars!

Hey Veeunce. I'm thirty and I've replaced shoes and pads on my truck. Yep. Back when I was just a pup.

Put the EBC pads on and even though they haven't set yet they are already grabbier than stock.

Thanks, boys.

And fook da rooters. Ill jest have to get some knew ones when the olde ones peter out.

Funny that you should mention it, the iraqi information minister has lots to say about shoes, both new and old.

What you see behind me is our tank forces disquised as US tanks. It is all part of the plan.

By the way what do you know about multi level marketing? Why don't you give me a few minutes and I'll show you the plan for you and your families financial security.
