I was watching the news and thinking about our members up there. I saw Crotchrocket a few weeks ago while in NYC and know he lives right where they are getting hammered.

Hopefully they will chime in but with all the power outages it may be a while until we hear from them.

Here's hoping they are all okay.

Dan

All is good n Delaware but the lower areas n the beach front got busted up n flooded , this has been a fairly lucky state as far as natural disasters, we count our blessings all the time!

My parents & both sisters all live in eastern PA in the 80mph winds & heavy rain path of Sandy and they are still without electricity but, my pop is a once & always U.S. Marine {1956-1962} and has his has T's crossed and his I's dotted with plenty of firewood, food, water, fuel and generators to keep things lit.
My 2 sisters on the other hand married skill-less bookworms and will remain in the dark until the power company fixes things. Fuck 'em, never liked them anyway.
My brother lives in Maryland outside of DC where I hear the storm was not a real factor but, he lives in his own little world and does not keep me in the loop.
I told them not to move there from Long Island and they should come to California where we have summer year round, wild fires, flash flooding, Santa Ana winds and maybe an earthquake or two now & then.

The Outer Banks got some wind and rain but honestly, it was nothing but a Nor'easter for us. I live in Kill Devil Hills. Kitty Hawk beach road got flooded as usual. Hatteras Island took a beating as well. Road washed away again just north of Rodanthe. Pics on the internet of the aftermath there. That happens during every Nor'easter though. I escaped completely unscathed so I guess I should feel lucky. Lots of homes and businesses in Kitty Hawk had a little bit of water in their places unfortunately but it wasn't 5-6 feet of water like up north. Still, the repair business should be in full swing for the next couple of months. We're heading back to the track this weekend like nothing even happened. Again, we were lucky here.

Yep, were still here!!

The shoreline here in CT got hit hard but inland not so bad. Most of the issues seemed to be flooding from the storm surge. The winds really were not that bad with this one. We didnt get that much rain here either.
