K&N

The BIG question:

Is it worth the cost, and is there a significant
rear wheel "gain" ( BHP )??

It is worth the cost, just look at the stock filters. Will you get more HP nay maybe I really don't know, but it will feel a little more spunky.

I think I saw a gain of 3 hp on the dyno. Owning a DJ250 does have it's benefits.

I would be interested in the difference between K&N filters and our modified stock filters.

entropy, pull the sensor cover off and then take a butter knife, and slide it down the side. use your hand from the inside to help push them out. alot of wiggling and some patience worked for me.

Oil the outer part of the filters really well and the butter knife trick madmike said works like a charm. Remember patience pays off, Don't let that little filter get the best of you.......

I'm hooked on K&N. Use em' in my Vette, BMW and Harley. They work particularly well on bikes that have been piped and re-jetted. Helps balance the intake/exhaust package.
