Hi Point wheels...
Does anyone have wheels from highpoint?
Was wondering how well they are made, like the finish and all.
Also they dont have pricing on the site.
Anyone got that by chance?

Thanks ZX, I emailed them and got this...
Thank you for the interest in our company.
In regard to your questions,
The current price for the forged aluminum wheels 3.50 X 17 front and 6.00 X 17 rear wheel is
Nickel Chrome - $1,980.00 USD (approx. 8lb for the front wheel, 39% lighter than stock) (and approx. 14.96 lb for the rear, about 39% lighter than stock).
Anodized Black or Gold (**custom colors are possible) - $1,860.00 USD (approx. 7.48 lb front wheel) and (14.08 lb rear wheel)
The wheels prices listed above need to add shipping (UPS ground) and tax (if California resident) both which buyer is responsible for.
I have all 3 finishes in stock.
In the 2002 design wheel, a raw aluminum finish will also be available. This wheel should be available about January 2002.
We currently do not have a magnesium wheel for this bike.
Specifications for forged aluminum wheels:
Our wheels utilize 3 bearings in the front (stock uses 2) and the rear utilizes 5 (while stock uses 3). With this in mind, our wheels spin a lot more freely and will allow for better cruising speeds.
The wheels set includes the cush drive, and the stock brake rotor brackets.
The sprocket that you require is your stock one, no aftermarket required.
We do have some dealers across the US are retailing our wheels, it is possible that we may have a location near you. Please email me back if you like a listing.
It is also possible to me to work with you should a dealer not be available in your neighborhood.
If you have any other questions regarding the wheels, please feel free to call, fax, or email me.
We will be at the International Motorcycle Expo in Long Beach, CA December 7-9, hope to see you there.
Once again thank you for your interest in our company.
Sincerely,
Glenn
So $1,860 is retail for a pair of black wheels. I wonder if they can be had for less?
How do they compare to dymags as far as weight?

For a point of reference, the RC Comp "Talledega" model wheel weighs almost the same:
Front- 8lbs
Rear- 16lbs with sprocket and cushdrive installed.
Polish or Chrome finish available.
