Still Running Rich!
If Doug is out there-Thanks for your advice to date but I'm not a lot further on
Sensors have all been checked double checked and replaced -no change
I've now stripped the injector block off the bike.
Fuel regulator- this is a sealed unit, but if the sensors are ok and the fuel regulator isn't doing what its told and opening, wouldn't that mean no fuel returning and it all entering the engine?
In Uk you cant buy just the regulator, and I don't particularly want to buy the lot, at least until I'm sure.
Are there any aftermarket regulators available I could buy?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Steve

Steve, the regulator is closed most of the time anyway. I doubt that's your problem. Y2? To answer your question- no, the injectors still control the amount fuel, but if they receive a higher pressure, they will be SLIGHTLY richer.
Speaking of injectors, it IS possible that they are sticking. Maybe you have used some odd fuel or fuel additives that gummed up during your layoff.
What about that? You didn't have some old ELF or something in there did you?
Got a buddy thaht will swap throttle body assys with you to troubleshoot?
Hang in there.

I've only one pal with a 12 -when he heard that I was looking to swap parts off his he decided to stay away-some friend!
Its possible there was odd fuel in it but I tend to use the same garage when close to home.
Is it possible to clean theinjectors or should I be looking at new ones?

YES! CRACKED IT! My 12 is ok!
After all that my pal with a 12 was embarressed into coming round and letting me pinch bits off his bike. Tried ECU no change , then swapped the throttle position sensor on end of injector bodies -hey presto -runs great!
My dealer was supposed to have checked all these.
I've had half the bike stripped & could have cured it in 5 minutes! Cant beleive it.
Thanks for all the advice guys -in particular Doug.
If your ever in the Uk -look me up , can always put you up.-Steve

Really good to hear you solved it and there was actually something verifiably wrong!

Just afootnote to this saga-Called in at my Kwacker dealer, told him the results. He sais Kawasaki wouldn't have sold a throttle sensor on its own anyway. comes as part of the throttle bodies assemblies!(about$2600 in your money).
(I used an old one off a Suzuki a pal had kicking about-works fine).
