integrated tail light
Hello all, I picked up a integrated tail light, its got a main connector that plugs right in, then it has to wires one yellow and one blue, anyone know were the blue and yellow wire ties in ?

I think you will find they attach to the left and right indicator wires. Don't know which is which but simple trail and error will soon let you know. The tail light usually does away with the need for indicators so remove them or just connect directly to them. If its the one I am about to put on my Z12 it is LED which means you will also need an led flasher relay so the led bulbs don't blow and/or flash like there is no tomorrow. You can find them on ebay easy enough about $25US. They plug in no probs getting to it is a pain as its is located on the far side of the battery. Hope this helps

this bike has not been on the street ever rear blinkers were removed back in 2000 by the original owner, the next pics will be the connectors I assume that were for the blinker, 2 wires to each connector, but with the tail light I only have 2 wires???

After another look at your pics I"d start with Blue to Blue and Yellow to Grey. The other wire is the same in both picks and would most likely be your earth. Remember if you indicator flash rate looks wrong it's because of the flasher relay. To find one on ebay search for 'Turn Signal Flash Rate Control Relay' that should point you in the right direction for one to fit ZX12R

Cool thanks I was kinda thinking on the same lines, I figured someone here has done it. Hope the relay is not required.

Excellent. My tail light should arrive in the next day or two. Will wire the same. Mine will have flush mounted indicators as removal of them is illegal here in Australia. Ride Safe!!
