One thing we know...
The ZX6RRs were entirely uncompetitive at Daytona. I would imagine that's why EBoz didn't even show up on the grid, he decided to save his efforts for the 200.

From the looks of things and what has been written to date, it really doesn't look like Kawi has put a great deal of resources into their race program this year. What resources they have spent appear to be with Eboz and the GP bike.

The Kawasaki factory team fared poorly in the Daytona 600 Supersport race today. Championship contender Tommy Hayden finished 13th and Tony Meiring 16th. Former class champ and the man many thought to be Kawasaki's secret weaponEric Bostromwas scheduled to contest the Supersport battle, but sat out the race to "concentrate on Superbike", according to Kawasaki sources.
The new Kawasaki ZX-6R is constructed for successwith serious features like upside down forks, adjustable swingarm pivot, radial brakes and a new framebut the bikes looked to be down on top speed compared to the other factory at Daytona.
Young gun Meiring said he was disappointed not to have contended for a race win like he did at Brainerd and Laguna Seca last year, but that things are far from over. "I'm not down or anything. It's just the first race of the season," Meiring said. "It's a brand new bike. We have to work on it a little bit.
"We'll definitely be there, I promise you that," he added.
If there is any consolation to Hayden, it is that he gained no Supersport points at Daytona last year but still finished second in the championship.
