Daytona Postponed until Monday 11:15 am
Damn rain. the race has been put off until Monday. Kind of throws a wrench in some of the vacations down there! And a few guys will be calling in sick on MOnday I'm sure!

You can say that again........
I've been feeling a little sickly myself....... 
What to do,........what to do???? The Supersport race was great, awesome race. Also, much to my suprise the BMW Riders put on a whale of a show. Those guys are a freakin' rough crowd for sure. The finish was SO close, don't even know the split, but it has got to be miniscule, very miniscule. Awesome race, but I was sure wanting to see the Superbikes run today.

If someone in the Jacksonville area would like two free tickets for monday's race, they can have mine. I won't be able to go!

The airlines have got to love this. All those discount plane tickets with penalties to pay for the changes!! Of course the other part that sucks is the norm is the race fans, crews etc. all leave today for home while the students on springbreak arrive for the week long party. So extending ones room can be a trick all in itself!

Typically return tickets can be changed without much issue, it's the originating flight that's a hassle. I fly around about 40+ weeks a year and have done it more times than I care to think about. Extending a stay is usually something that occurs because something good has happened.
Sorry to say DAB didn't reach hotel capacity this year. Cruising Saturday night even the big hotels had vacancy signs lit up. I think the hotels are liking the extensions this time.
Oh, I'll be there tomorrow. My bike and gear are drying right now.

Well thats kind of god news for those having to extend. So was there a noticeable difference in the downtown traffic? Or still pretty crazy?

Main Street was packed as usual, but overall it seemed like a lighter crowd. Here's what cause most of the problem during the 10 (yes, 10) days of Bike Week.....
Friday rain
Saturday rain
Sunday rain
Monday rain
Tuesday rain
Wednesday sun
Thursday sun
Friday rain
Saturday haze
Sunday rain
Some streets were bad, but not as bad as usual. If you know your way around town it wasn't a problem. Late Saturday night was the worst, I was out till about 3 and it was still crowded. Lots of fun things to see though, still a crazy crowd.
