Poll Question: If Ducati doesn't win?
If Ducati fails to win with their new GP bike, will GP change the rules so they can?

I agree with Fish. Ducati has such a strong lineage of winning in the GP class that it would really be a shock if they don't win. If they lose they will be like second place or third (definitely within the top five), making a rule change very hard to justify.
Though I have little respect for what Ducati brings to the street, I must admit that their race programs are winners!
In my opinion, for the street right now a buyer only needs to consider 6 bikes: ZX-12R, Hayabusa, GSX-R1000, YZF-R1, GSX-R750 and CBR1100XX. The only exception to this are the riders who are eagerly awaiting the release of all the hot new 600cc repli-racers this summer. Some of them are legitimate street bikes.

I do expect Honda to run really competitively against Duc this year but I think Ducati will pull it out in the end. I think Ducati will be forced to look at the limitations of their bike as 5 cylinders and V4s become more popular, but for now now old V-Twin is going to hang in their for this season.

I can't honestly imagine Ducati even bothering the Kawasaki or Suzuki's let alone the Honda.
