Performance Bikes (February, Review)

The 12 takes another beating against the Busa at the hands of the journalists. This time they are down on the suspension harshness. Anyone that owns a Busa . . is the 12 suspension and handling that much worse than the 12. Quotes:

"you can't tell what the tires are doing and when you push it a bit to find out what happens, they let go. It's the suspension; it's too hard"

"but the ZX still feels the most likely to wash out the front and/or lose the rear"

I don't know about that fat guy thing. I'm 5' 7" and 170 pounds and I pilot a Busa without problems. I'd ignore these writers' comments. For starters, the ZX-12R does what it set out to do; go forward really fast. Additionally it corners well. Anytime you can have a 475 pound bike take fast corners and lean like the ZX-12R leans, you have a winner. Some of my friends ride ZX-12Rs and they love them from both the aspect of speed and handling. These writers ride so many bikes I think they get a little out of touch with what the everyday rider cares about. So what if the bike is harsh, it's a race bike!! It's supposed to have a tight suspension. If these guys want a comfy bike Honda makes a Gold Wing.
