More prep for this season
I've been busy preparing the bike for the season. Since this weekend rained out here locally I figured now is as good to install a new set of taller Bear "nitrous" stacks courtesey of Vincent Hill and to change the plugs.
I won't bother showing all the boring photos in this post however if you want to see them just click on this link:

Damn plugs are a pain in the you-know-what to reach, had to use several combinations of swivels and extensions but finally managed to get them out. Probably a good thing since I haven't even pulled them since this engine was built! And who knows how many nitrous passes... These plugs are hurting! Just like a Timex they took a lick'n but kept on tick'n.. Click on the thumbnails to see a close up of the ugly plugs. I'm replacing them with the same OEM plug which seems to work well with the 40-shot of dope.
Vince I snapped a couple photos of my throttle bodies at WOT just for you- so you can see the port matching we talked about at the dyno:

I also removed a couple of the throttlebody blade screws to see if they could easily be replaced with shorter ones or ground-down so they dont protrude during WOT, however its probably more hassle than it's worth as they are very very small and potential gains would be very limited possibly not even measurable. If I can't find off the shelf replacements then I will just leave them alone. Oh well I had good intentions!
In other photos you can see my infamous "modified" stock airfilters.. just "screens" and been running those for years... works like a champ and best of all- free!

Bergie, I see lips between the Throttle bodies and the Boots and a large flat area where the intake is! That is what I am looking into! Atr least matching the throttle Bodies and the Boots! I need to know more before I remove metal!
