I am one of those Dummies also, Welcome to my club!

Install the CD rom into your computer

Go to the Power Commander web site and drag & Drop some maps into your computer. (You must have your files section open by clicking the load map

After you have some maps in your files, I use a 50 foot long cable. Rich people have lap tops. How ever you must do it, you must plug the cable into your computer and turn on your bike after you plug it into your PC3R

after clicking load files, click ok and the screen should show the file.

My Suggestion is to start the bike and see if you can see it running on your computer.

Then Click "Get ALL", this should take everything from your bike and display it on the screen.

You can then click notes and make a note and then sav it with any name you want

Then click files and then load map for the one closest to what you want. After it displays, up load the maps and you have done Basic 101! They have a large book of instructions I suggest you down load and read when you have time in the Library!

I believe you can buy a piece from Doug @ spencer cycles that allows you to plug a 9 Volt battery to the PCIIR and download the maps while the pc is not on the bike.

I think that would probably be a better idea than the long cord approach.

Just a suggestion.

Hey Vincent a few months back I asked for a copy of your Hindle map but never got it. Am I on your bad list or just forgotten? I would appreciate a copy of your map.

Thanks
