GEAR POSITION SENSOR EVER GO BAD ON ANYONE
anybody ever had to replace one.what were the symptoms.did you know that it controls some fuel injection functions. also the service manual says the engine has to be removed to r and r on a zx12r.

Yes they can go bad, but You don't need to remove the engine to change it.

i would pop it out and make sure the spring/pin is moving freely and if theres corrosion on the contacts, clean them and put on some dielectric grease. btw when they go in, it looks like they go upside down. the wires fold over....
