Auto Show & new car
Went to the auto show last night. There were only a few cars that I fit in comfortably. Most of them had the friggin "sport" seat that is supposed to wrap your body, but I'm not a small asian guy, so the seat just digs into the sides of my back and the middle of my legs so they go numb. I know this cause I was with a small asian and he fit into every friggin car. OK, there are some that I would fit in, but they were way out of my price range.
I did not fit into any cars except for the Mini Cooper and everything american, for our large american asses. I'm seriously thinking about getting a mini for unde 20k and pimping it out. It's got 163HP and weighs 2400 lbs.
What do you think?

I just found out that for about 1k, I can increase the HP to about 200.

bah. i'm not a fan of the mini's looks (definitely a minority i know!). if u want a car with similar power & even less weight, but a datsun 240z & save yerself at least 15k!

And, if you're lucky, the datsun may even start once a week.

Anyone seen the new Mazda RX8.. with man trans 1.3 liter 250 hp... sounds good to me.

Have to admit the mini looks like a hoot. Not the most practical rig but who cares.

practical? right now I have a dodge stealth. I think there is more room in the mini.
Just did some more researching...looks like 220-230 hp with mods.
Then, I'll paint it like the general lee.

I've been looking at the 740 BMW. It is a damn nice car except they messed with the damn truck lid. Looks weird. When I see the car on the road it looks like the damn trunks open.
