i have a 98 Chevy half ton extended cab, that has been tweeked just a bit...I do need to change out the 3.42 gears for some 3.73's yet...but she has a K&N Air raid intake, Hypertech progamer, 160 thermostat, Dual exhaust, and a set of 15x10 AR wheels....and some lund goodies...

(i cant get the image loaded to Imagestation, its too freakin slow tonight...)

and I use it to tow my 14ft trailer everywhere....the truck has 120,000 miles on it now...looking at a rebuild this summer or fall, and gonna get a little more power out of the 5.7L.

and I had to put some tunes in it....I run a pioneer supertuner III with a 600watt Directed Digital amp, pushing 2 Fosgate 10's, and a Majestic 500 watt amp pushing the Kenwoods throughout the truck, all run through a soundstream digital sound processor...and a Kenwood EQ....got to have something to listen to on those long trips up to the mountains...lol

Deathpulse - What's it's towing rating? Other truck owners? What should the cutoff be? Anything less than what, 5000 lbs towing isn't a 'truck'?

Death...I am sorry, but in my opinion a truck has to have a bed big enough to laydown it...and tow more than 5000lbs.......better start folding seats down I guess.....lol

My low rider Dakota hauls Zx12's perfectly. And it does not have a hitch on it. MY 1 ton is a monster. I hauled 9,860 pounds of hardwood (ash) flooring to a job a couple of weeks back. The hardwood supplier about shit when they loaded it up. I have an equipment type trailer for hauling pipe etc. with. Pulled a trailer that scaled just over 20,000 pounds with the old Dodge. Did I mention the 556 rear wheel horsepower and 1343 foot pounds of torque? One must be gentle with the transmission and careful with u-joints and pot holes! Love my big truck.

I have a TRD Tacoma PreRunner with a TRD Blower. Man, what a GREAT truck. It does it all, can carry over 3/4 ton in the bed, pull 5000 lbs., runs high 14s W/auto, and can get over 20 mpg. Best truck I've owned.
