Piston questions???
What to do???
I was in Oak hill this weekend and got a call from my buddy Shane as he didnt go this weekend... He said he was in one of our local shops and was talking about my bike... They already knew about the NOS.. He told them I put a second stage one it... Anyway to make a long story short...
He called me and told me they would buy the rest of what it takes to make it an 8 second bike...
Which leads to my questions.... I know the stock pistons are not going to last long blasting a shitload of nitrous thru it... I want a bike to still be running at the end of summer racing a couple days a month...
I am going to suggest a swingarm,airshifter,drag tire and at least some kind of pistons to withstand the juice and see if it works for them... See what they was thinking???
What kind of pistons will last with nitrous???? 1270?? 1290??? 1361 kit???
Interested in any ideas you all may have.... I am going to approach them and say this is what I need for a bike that will last... Cause I am not going out to blow the hell out of it for a swingarm and airshifter....

I think Wiseco and JE make nitrous specific pistons for the ZX12.
Ask Mike ( HPU@comcast.net ) He has installed a few sets and I think he keeps them in stock.

How much your spraying??? I was looking to spray a 28 and a 34..... Jet... I just don't want to wind up with a gernaded motor at the end of the years..

Spraying a 46 jet currently....probably around an 80 shot.

I spayed 2 .034 jets all year and pistons look new still.6 inch over arm,no pc3,resistor mod,and Hindle step pipe. i weigh 160lbs suited 8.95@162mph... Be prepared to do tranny mods!!We had shifting troubles last year but won't this year!!!

What happened to your tranny?
Are you running an airshifter? or footshifting?

YCIS,the gears need to be race cut for a high hp nos motor to shift"consistantly"with a air shifter.Foot shifting ,you will be fine.

Hawaii Boy,i think i hit the second stage once at the top of 1st.It was by accident because i meant to hit the horn(shifter)button.That was one fun ride.lol

Just woundering, I can't but 1 guy is but he is spinning also. Have the first pionts race this weekend. Thinking about try the MTC2 tire but would have to drive 35 miles round trip on the tire. To and from the track do you think this will hurt the tire is I go 50 MPH on the HWY.
