zx12 forks and calipers?

Does anyone know if the forks from an 05 will fit into the triple clamps of an 01,,, zx12?
Also will the calipers from a zx14 bolt up to the forks of an 05 zx12??? Looking to upgrade my suspension and brakes.

The calipers from the zx14 do bolt right on the 04 and later 12's.... I installed as set on my 04 zx12 along with the 14's master cylinder. A tremendous improvement over the stock system,

Just checked mine......they are different. {mine are original] So do i need to change the wheels or rotors? Looks like the axle, collar and spacers are all the same part #'s 2000-2005

OK...........I got in my file cabinet and got the 12R brochures out. The 2000-2003 12's have 320mm rotors. The 04-05's have 300mm rotors. So I could simply shim the 14 calipers 20mm on my 00.......Sound right???

Bolt up the 04-05 forks, put the wheel back on and shim the 14 caliper's 20mm. Then install the 14 master cyl and spiegler brake line's and good to go...........

If the rotor spacing is right on the wheel, all you would need are 10mm shims to make up for a 20mm differenence in rotor size.

I have no way of knowing how the 12R 320mm rotors compare to the 300mm 12R rotors as far as carrier/rotor spacing goes.

Sent you a pm Shane. Thank's for the info. The axle, and all the spacer's ( left, right and in between the bearings are all the same part # for all years. So is the collar and the spacer's betweem the rotors and wheel.

5 post's above your last............

Trying to see if I can use your setup with the stock rotors...........looks like a 10mm spacer will do the trick. Thanks for posting up the info and pics.

so I bought a set of 2004 forks for my 01... to my complete suprise.....the 04 forks are 1 3/4 inches longer than the 01. My 01 was used when I bought it and the 04 forks are used as well... so I am assuming that either set of forks were modified????? can't see the to years having that big of a difference in fork length????? anyone know???
