zx12 gear postionn sensor
does anyone know if you do away with gear position switch,i use engine in a autograss car so only need 1st and 2nd gear,
does engine give full performance when ecu is told engine is in neutral

There is a different map for neutral in the ECU. What year is Your engine? 01 and after need a speed signal for speed restriction input or Bonneville box. I'd use 2nd or 3rd gear.

yes. you can hardwire it to think its in a specific gear the whole time. there are seven wires in the connector going to the gear position sensor. one for each gear plus neutral. find which one is for the gear you want and ground the end going to the ecu to the chassis.

if i tell ecu iam in 2nd gear will that give me full performance of engine, il proberly have to re wire stater though coz i wont engage starter whilst in gear,bike is an 2002 b1 engine,cheers

im not 100% sure which gear is most power. i would assume 4th or 5th.
