FORKS question- 00/01 vs 02
I know the upper triple clamp is different on the 2002 models vs 2000/2001, but are the forks themselves interchangeable? Basically I have a set of brand new 2002 forks and I want to know if they will work with my 2001 upper and lower clamps. Does anyone know for certain?

I'm not sure but at least in buykawasaki.com they are listed in different partnumbers in parts calalog. But it dosen't neccesary mean that they are different but most probably are. Here are the numbers:

44008-1047 PIPE-FORK OUTER
44013-1469 PIPE-FORK INNER,LH
44013-1470 PIPE-FORK INNER,RH
'02
44008-1056 PIPE-FORK OUTER
44013-1508 PIPE-FORK INNER,LH
44013-1509 PIPE-FORK INNER,RH

They are the same. 2000-01 will work on 2002 and vice versa.

thanks; I knew the upper clamps were slightly different but as long as the tubes are the same they should bolt up..
