I just happened to be flipping thru the channels and...
Even Ebert and Roeper said the movie sucked.
They said when a race was going on, whoever was behind only had to whack the throttle a little bit more and they would take the lead again.
They didnt even want to waste time reviewing it, moved right along to the next "real movie".

HEY! We didn't PAY. The director asked the technical advisor what kind of pipes all the fast guys used. He correctly pointed out Muzzys. They then called and asked if we might be so kind as to supply a few. The rest is cinematic history.

Hehe Doug...everyone at my showing was commenting how "bad azz" those Muzzy pipes sounded. You can buy captive PR like that...well maybe you can.
I noticed SnapOn had a truck strategically parked and KAWI and SUZUKI had banners up on the grandstands!
But why the hokey aluminum round cans? THe OVals would have gotten more "poser props".
Hehe we even had guys yelling at the screen, calling Lawrence Fishburn's character "Smoke",.... IKE.
